LAW firms in Huddersfield are being urged to compete for top awards.
The 10th annual Yorkshire Lawyer Awards aim to encourage excellence in the region’s legal sector – recognising outstanding talent and offering professionals the chance to come together to network, socialise and celebrate.
As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations, the awards are moving to a larger venue at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds – where the winners will be revealed at a prestigious black-tie dinner and ceremony on October 6.
New categories include an award for in-house lawyer to recognise those working in commerce, industry and government roles and awards for trainee solicitor and legal executive.
Other categories include awards for the best law firms, commercial property law, dispute resolution, corporate and recovery as well as the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year. In addition, the Yorkshire Lawyer of Year Award will be presented on the night to an individual chosen at the discretion of the judges.
