Students across Kirklees and Calderdale are today celebrating their GCSE results – with significant improvements for some schools.

Results are pouring into the Examiner office from across the area and are being put on the website as soon as we get them.

There have been tears … but mostly of happiness.

The national average for A*-C grades is 59.6% and early success stories show that All Saints Catholic College is up from 55% to 64% and Rastrick High is up a massive 11% to 72%.

We asked all high schools in our circulation areas across Kirklees and Calderdale to send in their GCSE results – and the schools on these pages are the ones who responded.

To simplify matters we don’t lists the subjects taken, just the student’s name, the number of A-C grades followed by the number of subjects taken to examination. So in the results if A Brown has taken 10 GCSEs and passed 8 at A-C level it reads 8 (10)
