People will be flocking to the 2014 Mirfield Agricultural Show on Sunday August 17 - will you be joining them?

The family event takes place at Mirfield Showground, off Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, just outside the town centre.

The show is a 10 minute drive from Huddersfield and can also be accessed by bus and train.

Free parking is available at nearby Castle Hall School - a free park and ride service is on offer and the showground is a short five minute walk away.

By car

Drivers heading to the show via the M62 need to exit at Junction 25 (Brighouse) and take the A644 towards Mirfield.

At the roundabout, take the first exit, then take a right turn past the petrol station towards Mirfield/Dewsbury.

Turn left up Doctor Lane (after the Railway Pub) and continue until you reach Castle Hall School.

The showground is on the lefy hand side opposite Mirfield Cricket Club.

Follow the signs to the public car park and the park and ride service will go from the car park to the main entrance of the show every 10 minutes.

The first bus will leave the car park at 9am, and the last one will leave the showground at 4pm.

Visitors travelling via the M1 need to exit at junction 40 then take the A644 towards Mirfield/Dewsbury.

By bus

You can also reach Mirfield Show by bus - services from Huddersfield go via Mirfield town centre, walking distance from the showground.

The 202/203 service from Huddersfield to Leeds stops in Mirfield, as does the 262 from Huddersfield to Dewsbury.

Visitors travelling from Halifax, Elland or Brighouse can catch the 278 service to Wakefield.

Mirfield is also a short train journey from Huddersfield, with services also available from Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge Brighouse and Halifax.
