That’s all from the live blog today...if you want more M62 updates follow our other blog here.

Travel

The M62 is now fully open westbound but the area will continue to be snarled up for another hour or so I would suggest.

HTAFC

Are you making the short trip to Leeds for the big derby on Saturday? If so here’s all you need to know about the opposition.

Traffic

If you’re about to join the M62 you’d better take a look at our other blog as there’s some rush hour misery ahead if you need to come past Huddersfield.

From what I can see the queues tail back to Chain Bar westbound and eastbound are back up into the hills. There was a two car crash westbound just before 4pm and then a seven vehicle smash eastbound just 20 minutes later.

M62

We have some details about the M62 chaos. There’s been two crashes 20 minutes apart.

The first incident was a collision between two vehicles at 3:48pm on the westbound side between J24 and J23. A 52-year-old driver was injured and an ambulance attended. While emergency services were still on scene at there was a second accident on the eastbound involving four vehicles. Details are still coming in.

M62

It seems there’s incidents in both directions of the M62 near Huddersfield. The westbound carriageway is already jammed back past Ainley Top, we think because of a broken down vehicle.

Whatever it is it looks like your journey home will be affected if you go that way.

M62

There has been some kind of accident. The Highways Agency says lanes two and three of the eastbound M62 are closed between Outlane and Ainley Top. We’re awaiting details of what has happened.

M62

Hello folks...there’s been a smash on the M62 near Huddersfield. Details are sketchy but from the traffic cameras it looks like its completely stationary at junction 23 eastbound. We’ll update you with more as we get it.

Hand over

That’s all from me. Nick Lavigueur will be up next.

See what one of the members of the CCG board Maria Wybrew, had to say about the plans.

The ccg has suggested the closure of Huddersfield’s A&E, which will be replaced by an urgent care unit. The nearest A&E would then be in Calderdale.
