EU vote reaction
Still lots of reaction flooding in following the EU vote.
Steven Leigh, head of policy at the Huddersfield-based Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, said the referendum result reflected the weight of opinion among chamber member firms across Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.

Police are continuing to question a teenager after a stabbing in Huddersfield.
The victim, also a teenager, was found on the ground outside the polling station on Waverley Road at Highfields at 5.15pm yesterday. There is more here.

Police are appealing for information after designer handbags and jewellery were stolen from a house in Huddersfield.
The incident happened on 3 May between 1 and 2pm on Newland Avenue, in Birkby.
Suspects entered the property and stole a number of items including a Michael Kors handbag, Valentino shoes, described as pink/nude with gold studs, black quilted Chanel handbag and a gold Marc Jacobs ladies watch.
PC Daniel Ashton from Huddersfield CID, said: “There were a number of items stolen during this incident and some of significant financial value. A number of the items are distinctive.
“I would urge anyone who has any information or has been offered or been sold any items to come forward to the police.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact myself at Huddersfield CID via 101 quoting reference 13160188644.”
EU reaction
There is lots of reaction coming out of Kirklees to the EU vote.
Kirklees Conservative leader David Hall said he was not surprised by the local result.
“I wasn’t surprised about the local result having talked to people in my ward.”

Fire
Here are pictures of the fire at the former curry house in Huddersfield overnight.
It caused extensive damage to the site of a former restaurant which is now a derelict property in Folly Hall, Chapel Hill.
It broke out just after midnight this morning. A rough sleeper who was in the property at the time was led out unharmed.
Two fire engines from Huddersfield and one from Rastrick tackled the blaze, which broke out on the ground floor of the two storey building which used to be the home of the Chutney Mahal restaurant.
Firefighters managed to stop it from spreading. The building has now been boarded up.

Three Huddersfield health bosses each earned over £100,000 last year, according to official figures.
Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Chief Officer Carol McKenna earned over £190,000 in 2015/16. This includes a salary of at least £120,000 and up to £70,000 in pension contributions. You can see more here.

A stabbed teenager collapsed outside a Huddersfield polling station yuesterday.
Vital first aid was given by three men who rushed to help the stricken youngster outside the station on Waverley Road at Highfields near Huddersfield town centre. You can see more here.
