CLR Martyn Bolt, Conservative, and Kirklees Cabinet member for the environment, says (Examiner February 23) that “rats can’t get into a wheeled bin which is properly closed”.

Unfortunately the wind can open both my black and green bins. It has not, as yet, managed to close them, thus allowing rain to enter, as well as possible vermin.

It would appear that there exists a design fault! Is it possible Clr Bolt could turn his attention to this problem? As long as the wind can open bins there will be vermin problems.
