Apprentice finalist Claire Young is best known for her feisty boardroom manner with contestants and Lord Sugar.

And since her appearance on the 2008 hit BBC show has aired she has set up her own business called Inspiring Through Business, with a social enterprise arm for girls named ‘Girls Out Loud’.

So, All Saints Catholic College, Bradley, jumped at the chance to invite her as guest speaker for their celebration evening at the Bradley school.

Claire, who was brought up in Wakefield and now split her time between London and Yorkshire, gave a motivational speech to former students and their parents before presenting certificates.

The event also featured a selection of musical performances from some of our current students in the ‘All Saints Futures’ Steel Pans Band and an excellent solo performance by singer Celine Thomas.

Father Nicholas Hird, representing the Governing Body, gave a congratulatory speech, which was followed by headteacher, Miss Anita Bodurka, congratulating the former students on their resounding successes as well as recounting several highlights of their time at All Saints.

Deputy headteacher Stuart Cousins said: “We would like to wish all our leavers the very best of luck for their future endeavours.

“You have bags of personality and masses of talent and we look forward to hearing, in years to come, of your adventures and achievements as you make your way in life… and as Mr Thomas said in his speech as your Achievement Coordinator, “always have a dream.”
