A DESIGN company gave a Huddersfield charity a Christmas boost.
Armitage Bridge firm One17 Design gave £1,000-worth of goods, including food, toiletries, fresh meat and vegetables, children’s toys and household goods, to the Welcome Centre on Lord Street.
The charity helps people in crisis, including the homeless.
One17 has set up a charitable trust aimed at helping local charities which either support people in adversity or have an educational remit.
Education co-ordinator Caroline Lee said: “We wanted to do something to launch the trust before Christmas.
“We went to see the Welcome Centre and were really excited by what they do.
“They have such low overheads – it’s all going to help the needy.”
Welcome Centre manager Karen Selley said: “The donations were amazing.
“We have been able to give out really substantial food packs and toys and presents to children that we would otherwise not have been able to give out.
“It has made a massive difference,” she added.
