A YOUTH was arrested at the Sands Recreation Grounds in Holmfirth for breaching his Anti-Social Behaviour Order on Friday of last week, it has been revealed. He was later bailed pending further inquiries.

An illegal off-road motor bike was seized by a PCSO on patrol on Helme Lane Meltham, on March 31. The bike will be disposed of.

A paintball gun was seized from a youth, after reports of a group of youths in a car driving around the Thongsbridge area firing randomly at buildings last Saturday. The group have now been identified and investigations are ongoing.

A joint patrol of PCSOs and the CCTV Van from Kirklees Council carried out patrols in the Scammonden, Marsden, Meltham, Honley and Holmfirth areas last Saturday evening. A group was encountered on New Street Honley, but they made off leaving eight bottles of lager.

A Neighbourhood Police Team (NPT) mobile patrol encountered a group of youths at Honley Bridge near to the Somerfields Garage last Saturday. The group made off, but after a short chase they were stopped and searched. Twenty three containers of alcohol were seized and later disposed of. The youths were advised and sent on their way.

Bonnet scratched and driver’s side of vehicle hit with cricket bat. Falconers Ride, Netherton. Brick thrown cracking car front windscreen. Marten Drive, Netherton. Vehicle pushed on its side smashing a window, wing mirror and causing extensive scratching and denting to nearside panels. Netherton Moor Road, Netherton. Rear window and the rear nearside window smashed.

CYCLE THEFT Rowan Avenue, Netherton. Bike secured with chain stolen from house.

ATTEMPTED THEFT Lawton Electrical Ltd, Knowle Lane, Meltham. Two windows smashed and side door handle snapped off. Vehicle searched, but nothing stolen. Dunford Road, Holmfirth. Bottom panel of door prised off. Intruder tried to remove TV from wall.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE Holmfirth High School. Window smashed. Huddersfield Road, Meltham. Four windows smashed at garage. Lydgate Chapel Sunday School, Holmfirth Road, New Mill. Pebbles thrown damaging glass. Power Tool Services (Holmfirth) Ltd, Cooper Lane, Holmfirth. Padlock and raw bolts damaged on gate fixed in front of door at rear of shop.
