I HAVE just read the excellent review of Huddersfield Choral Society’s last concert and description of its trademark soundworld “nutbrown sonorous texture”. Please will the Choral return to its former practice and put the ladies in the middle?
It increasingly sounds like a male voice choir, with the conductors striving to contain the men. It is such a waste of the glorious female voices the Choral is so lucky to have and which we in the audience struggle to hear.
