HUNDREDS of the rarest and most powerful street cars in the UK are heading to Batley.
The second Batley Brag, described as a "back to basics petrolheads event", will be held at the Frontier Club in Bradford Road on Saturday, September 22.
Organisers are hoping to attract 300 cars of all shapes, sizes, ages and value.
Stars of the show will include a £190,000 Lamborghini LP 570-4 Spyder Performante and a £170,000 McLaren MP4-12C. Both go from 0-60mph in around three seconds and hit a top speed of 200mph.
Other stunning motors on show include a Ferrari Scuderia 599, a TVR Sagaris and a Porsche 991 Cabriolet. There will also be a impressive array of American hot rods and muscle cars.
The free event is open to all owners of high performance cars who want to show off their pride and joy to other car enthusiasts and the public.
Anyone wanting to join in and show their car needs to register at www.batleybrag.co.uk .
They will be asked to make a donation to the local branch of the charity Association of Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus (ASBAH). TVR owner and Batley Brag organiser Simon Moorhouse said: "We received tremendous support at last year’s event from the petrolhead community and we sincerely hope everyone will attend the 2012 event. "All the money we raise will go to the local ASBAH kids who need every bit of help we can offer."
