A NORTH Huddersfield restaurant has pledged its support for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in the second of its annual fundraising dinner events.

Saim’s Restaurant on Bradford Road sponsored the charity by holding a dinner last month which raised £400 for the hospice.

Kate Goldring, partnership development manager at the charity said: “It is great to have the support of Abdul and the team at Saim’s.

“Local support has been pivotal in getting us to this stage; moving forward it will be vital in helping us raise £2.5m annually. A huge thank you to Abdul for organising this event.”

The evening involved a tasty three course meal and live music throughout the night as well as a raffle prize draw, prizes being donated by various local businesses including owner Abdul Hafiz who also owns Bradford Road Pharmacy.

Mr Hafiz said he was thrilled to have been able to support such an important cause and plans to hold another event in the near future.

He added: “The Children’s Hospice is just up the road from us and offers such vital care, we wanted to do something here at Saim’s to show our support and raise some money along the way!”

The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice based in Brackenhall gives support to children with a life limiting or life threatening condition, and their families across Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.
