A BRADLEY breakfast club has snapped up a grant from cereal giant Kelloggs to support their early-morning activities.
St Thomas Primary School in Sherwood Avenue has been given £450 towards the school’s breakfast club.
The school is one of 600 chosen across the country to receive a grant after research showed more children are going to school hungry.
Maureen Gay, who runs the school’s breakfast club, said she was delighted the school had received the award.
Head teacher David Rushby said: “Breakfast clubs are a lifeline for many children but with budgets being tight they could sadly become an unaffordable luxury in future.
“The grant will really help our club and we’ll look forward to spending money on subsidising breakfast for the children and buying some new crockery and cutlery.”
