A hotel has teamed up with a hospice to create their own version of student rag week.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Waterfront Lodge Hotel in Brighouse are turning rags into cash.

Fiona Walker, Hotel Manager, said: “We refresh the hotel’s linen regularly and didn’t want to just throw away the old sheets and towels. I approached Jason to see if it was useful to donate it to the Forget Me Not shops as rags”.

The aim is to turn rags into cash for the hospice as the charity receives £80 per tonne of linen and fabric donated.

Jason Costello, of the Forget Me Not Hospice, explained: “We’re putting our own spin on RAG week and encouraging people to Recycle And Give.

“Forget Me Not shops welcome all donations that will make fantastic merchandise, however, people don’t realise they can also donate rags, such as old linen, towels and clothes.”

Take items to any hospice shop, including at 56 Commercial Street, Brighouse.
