HAIRDRESSERS are a cut above the rest where charity work is concerned.

The team at a Calderdale hairdressers will be donating profits to Elland-based Overgate Hospice as part of Hair for Hospices day on Tuesday, August 7.

Hair Nineteen, based at King Cross Street, Halifax, are raising money for Overgate Hospice by giving their day’s takings by doing cut and blow dry for a minimum donation of £20.

Stylists include owner Elizabeth Redmond, Harriet Redmond, Jennifer Wrathall, Camilla Gough, Vanessa Meskimmon and guest stylist for the day will be Sharon Holland Taylor.

Sharon Holland Taylor co-wrote and appeared in the play Dirty Laundry, which was performed earlier this year at Square Chapel, where all proceeds also went to Overgate Hospice.
