LITTLE Oliver Field is back home after facing up to his first bout of cancer treatment.

The Dalton toddler has undergone the first of three debilitating sessions of chemotherapy after being given the devastating news that his cancer had returned.

Oliver, two, suffers from a rare form of neuroblastoma and is now facing weeks of treatment.

His mum Laura said: “He’s coped really well so far, but this week will be the test to see how harsh the side effects will be.

“He’s already not eating and his eyes look sunken and he’s just not his happy little self”.

The family face more trips to Leeds General Infirmary and will then have to wait to see if the treatment works.

If not, doctors may advise a radical form of treatment available abroad – but that could cost up to £250,000.
