CASH handouts are up for grabs as Denby Dale Parish Council opens up its annual grant scheme.
The council has set aside a pot of money offering up to £500 to local organisations in the parish council area.
In previous years the scheme has funded a wide range of projects, including the purchase of musical instruments for bands, repairs to church clocks and buying equipment for youth and sports organisations.
The parish council will only make grants to bona fide non profit making organisations which are properly constituted and all applications must be accompanied by an up to date financial statement, copies of bank statements and evidence of the likely cost of the equipment or project.
Grant forms are now available and should be returned to the clerk at Denby Dale Parish Council, Council Offices, 24 Commercial Road, Skelmanthorpe, HD8 9DA by October 23. Applications will be considered at a meeting on November 17.
