RURAL residents are asked to get in touch about their poor internet connections.

As part of Get Online Week, the Country Land and Business Association will be touring rural parts of Yorkshire to help people improve their online accessibility.

Huddersfield social media expert John Popham will be part of the tour.

He said: “It is aimed at getting rural Yorkshire online and able to use social media.

“I believe passionately in the power of the internet to transform people’s lives for the better and I want to make sure that people, who live in remote rural communities don’t miss out.”

The CLA’s campaign is called Can’t Get Online Week and aims to highlight the difficulties faced by rural communities.
