CLAMPDOWNThe police’s newly-formed off-road motorcycle unit has been taking its work seriously and is now delivering what we promised when it was set up. Those who persist in blighting our neighbourhoods with noisy illegal motor bikes are now losing out as we are taking positive action. A recently released picture shows one of the bikes seized by the unit which will now be crushed. The rider may also face prosecution, charged with riding without insurance and other document offences. Inspector Mark Trueman, lead for The Valleys NPT said: “I did promise when the unit was set up, the officers attached to it would be positive and seize bikes. So once again I say if you do not want to have your pride and joy seized, get the correct documents and ride where you are allowed.”
