HEALTH and safety gone mad is a well-worn phrase but one that continually keeps resurfacing.
This time it’s the issue of restaurants refusing to heat up baby milk.
KFC took it one step further by offering to sell the mum a cup of tea for 90p and she could then ditch the teabag and use the hot water to warm the milk.
So if the temperature is OK for the tea, why is it deemed too hot for the milk? Surely it’s the mother’s responsibility to test the milk’s temperature before giving it.
Perhaps this is all about the fear of the compensation culture. No doubt restaurants are worried that if the water is too hot, a compensation claim could be heading their way.
It’s all another nail in the coffin of commonsense.
