EXPLORE the ancient village of Clifton adjoining the Kirklees Estate. Calderdale Heritage Walks lead the Town on the Cliff at Brighouse walk at 7.15pm on Friday, June 1. Walkers should meet David Nortcliffe at War Memorial and Green in the centre of the village. The walk will last around two hours and costs £3.

Elland

ALL Saints Church will show the procession and church service on a large screen to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday, June 5, at 9.45am. Take a picnic. There will be a collection in aid of Help for Heroes.

Greetland

THE Greetland and Stainland Ward forum takes place on Thursday, May 31, for residents to hear what the council is doing in the local area and report concerns to local councillors. It takes place at Greetland Academy, School Street, at 7pm.

A FIND your feet walk for people with low fitness or limited mobility takes place on Monday, May 28. It starts at 9.30am and walkers should meet at Clay House car park, West Vale. Call 01422 281529 to check if walks are going ahead in bad weather or for more details.

Calderdale

A JUBILEE boat regatta takes place at the People’s Park, Halifax, on Sunday, May 27. Families can make a boat out of recycled materials found around the park and enter into a race across the central fountain to win this year’s top prize. Start: 1pm and admission is £1.50.

JOIN a walk in Savile Park on Saturday, May 26. It will last around one hour and is mostly on level ground. Start: 10.30am. Meet: Flutterbites Cafe, Manor Heath Park.
