PUPILS and staff at Hade Edge J&I School got dressed up as famous people to raise money for Red Nose Day.

Pupil Harvey Turner stole the day with his Compo costume – very fitting as the famous TV series was filmed in and around Hade Edge and the Holmfirth area.

Headteacher Jeff Kilner said: “It has been great for the children to get to do something funny for money and at the same time raise some funds for Red Nose Day.”

Other children dressed up at famous footballers, Harry Hill, the Queen and Rhianna.

And staff joined in the fun, dressing as Pocahontas, Captain Bird’s Eye and Anne Robinson.

In all the school raised £106.50.
