Kids went flipping mad at a fun-filled pancake tossing day at a Huddersfield junior school.

Lines of children geared up to toss 200 pancakes high into the sky at Linthwaite Ardron Church School, keen to earn the prize as the best flipper.

Members of Linthwaite Christ Church’s junior church put on the event, which was attended by children in every class, in a bid to encourage more young people to join their Sunday school events.

It is the first time that it has been held at the school for several years.

And was just one of the activities held at the school throughout the afternoon, which also included a raffle.

Christ Church priest, Paul Witts, who helped cook up the tasty treats, said: “It was a wonderful afternoon of competitions and prizes and I think that fun was had by all.”
