LIVERSEDGE: @December 5: A householder came face-to-face with a burglar at a property in Rydal Grove. The raider forced open a upvc downstairs window and climbed in. He searched the kitchen and made a noise which woke the householder who was sleeping downstairs in the next room. The householder came within four feet of the intruder who fled.
December 4: Burglars snapped the lock on a upvc door at a house in Listerdale and got inside. They found car keys and drove off in vehicle. Nothing was stolen. Victims were asleep in bed at the time.
December 4: Police were called to reports of an insecure building at West End. An officer went inside and found the remains of a suspected cannabis factory.
December 3: Burglars kicked in the kitchen door at a house under renovation in Union Road. They searched the premises and stole items from kitchen.
HECKMONDWIKE: @December 6: Burglars attacked the Krazy Kids children’s play gym in New North Road. They climbed on crates to reach up and pull off a security alarm. They then bent gates to break into compound and broke through wooden door. Once inside the play gym they made a search and then smashed open a toy vending machine and three sweet machines stealing cash.
