THEFT: Sid’s Cafe, Towngate, Holmfirth, April 2. Suspect entered store and made a purchase then stole tip jar from counter. Holmfirth Bus Station, April 6. Inside bus station, suspect one kneels at side of victim and suspect two sat down at side of victim. She was distracted and had her purse/cash stolen from her bag. Suspects walked to adjacent car park then drive off in a grey vehicle. Suspects: Asian male 25-40years, ‘very good looking’, 6ft, slim build, short dark hair, clean shaven. spoke with local accent, wearing dark trousers and dark top, with dark pullover around his shoulders. Asian female 40-50yrs, plump build, broken English. Honley, April 1. Bag snatched from victim walking home. Suspect: white male, foreign, scruffy looking, unshaven, navy blue shirt with white stripe, grey baggy trousers, 5ft 10ins, 20yrs to 30yrs, plump. Honley, April 4. Wheeled bin stolen from outside shop. Meltham, April 5. Four solar lights stolen from house garden. Holmfirth, April 1. Mobile phone stolen from the side of the till in shop.

BURGLARY: Bridge Works, Woodhead Road, Honley, April 3. Chain or similar attached to locking system on storage unit and other end attached to a vehicle which was used to pull door open. Large quantity of copper stolen. Jackson Bridge, April 1. Padloked forced from door to get into shed in back garden. Garden power tools stolen. Burnlee, April 4. Pedal cycles stolen from garden. New Mill, April 5. Crash helmet stolen from shed.

VEHICLE CRIME: Honley, April 1. Black pen used to draw a line on bonnet of vehicle. Honley Business Centre, New Mill Road, Honley, April 5. Driver’s door forced open and cowling and ignition and interfered with to start vehicle. Vehicle later sighted and stopped by police and recovered. Three men arrested. Meltham, April 7. Offside front door of car vandalised. Totties Garden Centre, Downshutts Lane, Totties, April 2. Grey Land Rover Defender registration YA57 LGG, parked in yard of premises, stolen. Wooldale, April 5. Vandals ran over garage roof causing it to collapse onto victim’s car, damaging it.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Meltham, April 5. Outer pane of front double glazed window smashed.
