Neighbourhood Police Update - Advice for parents: Large groups of youths are gathering on Friday evenings near to Soccer City, Morrisons Supermarket and Ravensknowle Park. Please be aware that under age consumption of alcohol and possibly drug dealing is taking place in these areas. If your child is out at these times and hangs around in the Waterloo area they may be subject to disruption by the police.

Small Cannabis factory: A raid was carried out in Almondbury last week. Police recovered cannabis and associated drugs equipment used for growing cannabis. One local person was arrested following the find.

The Tolson Museum, Wakefield Road: Due to the installation of CCTV cameras around Tolson Museum on Wakefield Road the police have seen a massive fall in the amount of calls for service due to under age drinking and general anti-social behaviour in the grounds of the museum. But we would still request that if any local residents witness any large groups of youths or any other suspicious activity to call the police or make contact with Moldgreen police station on 01484 436724 or call Crime Stoppers.

Almondbury - Problem Youths: Over the past few weeks the police have seen an increase in the number of young people congregating around Northgate and Westgate areas of Almondbury. Inquiries are on-going to find out the identity of these youths. Recent referrals to the Kirklees Anti-Social Behaviour Unit have been made and interventions are on-going with identified individuals. Bicycle stolen in Shelley: Police are asking for anyone that sees distinctive BMX bike, stolen from outside the shop in Westerley Way, Shelley, to contact them.
