A Brackenhall residents’ group enjoyed a visited from North Huddersfield police recently.

The CHOBB group is based on part of the Brackenhall Estate and the initials that form the group’s name are from streets on the estate that the group represented before the demolition and remodelling of the estate took place (Catherine, Hopkinson, Oxley Roads & Bracken Grove & Bracken Square.)

The meeting was an opportunity to present prizes from the Deighton and Brackenhall Initiatives area gardens competition last month.

Clr Cath Harris and DBI Chief Officer Andi Briggs also attended and helped Huddersfield North PCSOs give out road safety advice to the children and their parents at Northfield Hall.

The children also got to try on police uniforms and use the pretend pelican and zebra crossings kindly lent to them by Kirklees Road Safety partnership.
