DENBY DALE and Kirkburton officers have been out doing speed checks.
Pcso Chris Nalson and Pcso Sharon Mellor, pictured in action, left, have been out and about with the speed gun over the past few days.
The officers checked a number of cars on Storthes Hall Lane after the road was highlighted as a problem on their Facebook page.
But so far, no motorists have been clocked above the speed limit.
More checks will happen in the coming weeks and months.
Pc Sally Baines spent Tuesday, July 10 with Year 5 pupils at Thurstonland Junior School, delivering SPICED (Schools Partnership in Children’s Education on Drugs) awareness lessons.
The children, who also included three pupils from nearby Farnley Tyas School, asked lots of questions and really enjoyed the day.
To finish off the session, the children produced some fabulous posters warning people about the dangers of drugs.
