DENBY Dale Parish Council has selected its new leader.
Clayton West representative, Clr John Cook, pictured, was elected as the chairman for the parish council for the next 12 months.
Clr Cook is taking over from outgoing chairman, Clr Kelvyn Waites.
Clr Cook was a Kirklees councillor from 2008 to 2012.
The Denby Dale Tory lost his seat to fellow parish councillor Graham Turner in last year’s elections.
