I GOT another scam email the other day.

It said: “Dear HSBC Customer, “To protect your account, our monitoring process has temporarily suspended your online access. It's strongly advise to enable your account, to avoid account been flagged. click on 'Enable' to continue the process. Sincerely. HSBC Security Department Team”

At first glance, this could be quite worrying. Everyone would be worried in case their bank account was suspended.

But hang on. Would HSBC really send out an email that was so grammatically incorrect and with such poor punctuation?

And why would they send it to me when I don't even have an HSBC account?

Still, all those who do have one, should be wary of an obvious scamming attempt.
