THE £15,000 cheque was intended to settle a firm’s tax bill.
But instead, crooked accountant Christopher Tracey, of Elland, put the money into his own bank account to pay off an overdraft.
Tracey, 47, admitted fraud but escaped jail when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court. He was given a suspended sentence.
