NORMA Burgess of Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia, recently came across this photo in her grandfather's belongings.
“Printed across the bottom is ‘Hartley ... Thornhill Lees Albion AFC 1911-12 ... Dewsbury’ but that is the only clue I have.
There are no names attached,” she said.
If anyone can tell us more about this photo, we can pass the information on to Norma.

PUPILS of Rastrick Grammar School are scattered all over the world.
But every year a fair number of them manage to make the trip to the Old Rastrickians' Association annual dinner, which this year is on Friday, March 4 (7pm for 7.30pm) at the Auctioneer Restaurant, Brighouse.
“As always, former pupils of Rastrick Grammar School from all eras will be warmly welcomed,” said association secretary John Howarth.
The guest speaker will be Mr Malcolm Healey, who started at RGS in 1952, and who is hoping to attract as many of his year group as possible to the event.
“I will be very pleased to hear from any of these gentlemen, and they are welcome to get in touch with me,” said John.
“In addition, we would be delighted to see plenty of 1971 entrants, wishing to celebrate their 40th anniversary, at the event, and I very much hope that they, and other Old Rastrickians will contact me.”
John’s phone is 07835 235195, his address is 2 Lister Street, Brighouse HD6 2AH, and the association’s website is email@example.com
READER Peter Sanderson would appreciate some help in tracking down details of a country dancing contest or demonstration that was held on the Fartown rugby ground between 1928 and 1930.
Examiner records are, as far as we can tell, silent on this matter.
“My venerable auntie recalls that at this event, various Huddersfield schools participated,” said Peter.
“She believes it was when there was a strike of textile workers taking place, though could possibly have been during the 1926 general strike.”
