Budding crime scene investigators tracked down ‘criminals’ at a village Christmas fair.

Youngsters at Skelmanthorpe Christmas Market were invited to a fingerprint workshop while their parents were busy shopping.

The event was hosted by Think Forensic, which runs sessions on the science around solving crimes.

More than 300 people flocked to the event to see the snow filled street, Santa’s grotto and a range of Christmas stalls.

The village firm, which has primarily been providing educational workshops for children and students, is now planning to expand to offer children’s parties, corporate away days, murder mystery evenings and stag and hen parties.
