HOLMFIRTH: Fitness junkies needn’t wait until autumn to sate their triathlon needs – there’s another Summer Wine swim, cycle and run challenge coming to the Holme Valley, on April 22. Following the success of October’s Last of the Summer Tri, comes First of Summer Tri. The gruelling challenge, which will raise cash for Holme Valley Mountain Rescue, has been organised by triathlon iron men Dave Armitage, formerly of Holme, and Ian Davies, formerly of Wooldale. The challenge starts with a 400m swim at Holmfirth Poolin Huddersfield Road.
