HUDDERSFIELD Town has hosted a football fun day to support those with learning difficulties.

Over the course of the day coaches from Town’s Football in the Community Department delivered a range of activities and games for 50 players of all abilities.

The sessions have been made possible through Town’s engagement with the South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust’s Learning Difficult Services who support people across Kirklees to attend the events that are held quarterly at The Zone in Leeds Road.

Huddersfield Town Ambassador Andy Booth was present during the day and teamed up for a photo with some of the players.

The fun day activities provided a great engagement opportunity for players to come along and have a go.

For those who decide they would like to play football outside supported hours Huddersfield Town now runs a community disability programme with three sessions per week, two for adults and one for juniors.

The sessions take place at The Zone, just off St Andrew’s Road on Wednesday (5-6pm) and Sunday afternoons (juniors 3-4; Adults 4-5).
