The Giants are serving up something other than pre-season training later this month.

The Rugby League players will swap the pitch and don their pinnies and will be serving up meals to delighted Giants fans.

The switch-over is all in aid of the charitable arm of Town and the Giants - Huddersfield Community Trust.

The take-over will happen at Nando’s at the John William Street store on Monday January 26.

This is the second time the Giants have stepped up to to the mark and last year’s event was a sell-out.

Fans were able to brush shoulders with first team stars such as Eorl Crabtree, Luke Robinson, Scott Grix and Jodie Broughton as the players greeted guests, manned the grill, took orders, ran food and cleared tables with the evening raising funds for the Huddersfield Giants Community Trust based at The Zone.

January’s event will once again see several Huddersfield Giants first team members on hand at the Nando’s restaurant and adult fans are able to attend the event for £20, which includes a main meal and unlimited soft drinks, whilst children under 10 can see a selection of their Giants stars for just £10.

Barclays Bank will once again be backing the event and staff from the local branch will once again be volunteering their time to come and help with the evening.

But Giants fans are being warned that capacity is extremely limited and with demand being high following last year’s successful sell out and therefore it is advised to book early to avoid missing out on this very special occasion.

Tickets are on sale now from The Zone reception in person or alternatively you can purchase via telephone on 01484 484 134.
