HEPWORTH United Girls teamŠ show off their Under 16s Division 2 League Champions trophyŠ while presenting a bottle of champagne to their proud sponsor, Ann ofŠGallery Hairdressing.Š

The top Kirkburton salon has been the main team shirt sponsor fromŠ their outset four years ago.

The team has come a long way since their first season and has steadily progressed year on year resulting in last season’s success, not only being crowned Under 16 Division 2 champions Šbut also reaching the final of the Shield Cup.

This season the girls will be playing in the West Riding Girls Football League Under 17 Division 1, against generally tougher opposition than last year and are hoping that the continued support of their sponsor will steer them on to further success.

Manager and club chairman John Field said, “It is great to know that, in such hard times financially, people such as Ann and GalleryŠ still have faith in what the girls can do.

“The Gallery has been very supportive since we first approached them for help and the team are proud to display their company name on the shirts again this season.”

Despite last season’s success the team is still on the lookout for more players this season to help them retain their title.
