The infant class at Denby First School held a mock wedding at Denby Church.
Everyone dressed for the occasion. Confetti was thrown and wedding cake was shared with parents and teachers as witnesses.
Meanwhile the junior class and staff took part in a bike ride from Penistone to Wortley along the old railway line, regardless of the heavy rain.
A rather muddy teacher Mrs Travis reported that everybody did very well and that nobody had complained about the weather.
The infants enjoyed a water fun day on the school field. The school has excelled in sports recently bringing in a second and fourth for orienteering.
The Year 5 school leavers held a special assembly to mark the end of their time at the school.
Each pupil wrote down their hopes and dreams on a card and tied it to a balloon which was released into the sky.
