THE loss of one of Huddersfield’s best-known family businesses in a fierce blaze will touch many lives.
Hinchliffe’s Farm Shop and restaurant is a real family affair which has its roots dating back to 1929.
Over the years the business has grown and grown. It now employs 60 people and carefully selects its products from local suppliers.
The business owners, staff and suppliers will all be devastated – as will all the thousands of customers who have come to love the company’s traditional customer service values.
The owners have vowed to be back – even better than before – and that is a true battling spirit.
But clearly that will take time as the fire has totally destroyed the shop, butchery and restaurant.
Let’s hope the customers stay loyal and return in droves when that day eventually comes.
