THEFT Beaumont Bros Garage, Huddersfield Road, Meltham, Jan 24. Part of metal panel security fence removed to get into compound and steal yellow JCB forklift truck. Brockholes, Jan 20. Lead flashing stolen from top of bay window on detached dwelling. Raider disturbed by victim and made off dropping the stolen lead.

BURGLARYSita Waste Disposal, Bent Ley Road, Meltham, Jan 20. Suspect climbed over fence into yard, broke lock on container but did not steal anything. Burnlee, Jan 20. Lock forced on garden outbuilding and tools stolen.

CRIMINAL DAMAGEHonley High School, Jan 19. Stone thrown at laminated dining room window cracking it. Thongsbridge, Jan 20. Brick used to smash window in integral garage.

VEHICLE CRIMEBrockholes, Jan 21. Suspect broke into vehicle and released handbrake causing it to roll down hill and hit a wall. Cartworth Moor, Jan 23. Large tractor tyre rolled down steep hill, hitting parked car at bottom, damaging bodywork and front window. Honley, Jan 21. Silver Vauxhall Corsa reg Y965 ONC stolen. Meltham, Jan 24. Blue Yamaha motorcycle reg YG60 VMH, stolen from driveway of house. Thurstonland, Jan 25. Door lock prised open activating alarm. Nothing stolen. Meltham, Jan 22. Suspect attempted to remove alloy wheels from car.

PACT MEETINGSPartners and Community Together meetings (PACT) are changing venue and police are making it personal to YOU. A spokesman said: “Since the start of PACT meetings we here in The Valleys have attended area committee meetings and given an update at those. As the area committees have all joined together to form The Town and Valley Committee for public meetings we will continue to hold our PACT meetings at Holmfirth Police Station due to the infrequency of the new Town & Valley Committee meetings. The dates for your diary are (all meetings are on Thursdays, starting at 6pm): February 24, March 31, April 28, May 26, June 23, July 21, August 18, September 22, October 20, November 17, December 15. The police spokesman added: “Call into any of the above and let us know where you want your local officers to work on your local priorities.
