Holmfirth Festival of Folk receives £1,500 boost from Co-op

Co-op gives £1,500 cash boost for valley festival

HOLMFIRTH: The Holmfirth Festival of Folk received a £1,500 boost from The Co-op earlier this month. The Co-operative’s West Yorkshire Area Committee opted to fund the festival which attracts thousands of folk fans each year. This year’s event, from Friday May 11 to Sunday 13, features folk acts from across the UK and abroad as well as a collaboration with Holmfirth Sharing Memories. Carole Beaumont, from Holmfirth Festival of Folk, said: “We are thrilled with this generous funding, which will go towards hosting our 2012 Festival of Folk. Year on year the Holmfirth Festival of Folk is enjoyed by huge numbers of local people, and we are so thankful for grants such as these to help us to keep delivering fun, meaningful and interactive events for the community.”
