Honley High School pupil beat 26,000 children from across the country to reach final of Foreign Language Spelling Bee

IT was so near, yet so far for foreign language spelling whiz Steven Dolton, a year seven pupil at Honley High School, who beat 26,000 children from across the country to reach the final of the Foreign Language Spelling Bee, at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, on July 6. But despite his best efforts to translate and spell as many Spanish words as possible in one minute, Steven did not make the final four.
