A Huddersfield car dealers has been the driving force behind a fundraising appeal and has clocked up more than £6,000.
TrustFord, based on Leeds Road have had a bumper year and raised £6,355 for Cancer Research UK.
The money was raised thanks to a variety of events throughout last year, including members of staff taking to the roads for sponsored cycle races, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood-esque bake offs, Movember, a festive Christmas Jumper Day, and of course traditional car washing.
A number of particularly brave colleagues even took part in a charity skydive which generated over half of the total money raised in 2014.
Another charity highlight was the popular five-a-side football tournament held in June, which saw staff from TrustFord Huddersfield get into the spirit of the World Cup.
The dealership took on colleagues and counterparts from Huddersfield Audi, Perry’s Huddersfield, TrustFord Bradford, TrustFord Wilmslow and TrustFirstParts Normanton.
After a day of fierce competition and fancy footwork, Hot Legs FC, captained by Joshua Eastwood, a technician from TrustFord Huddersfield, were crowned winners of the tournament.
The amazing efforts of staff at the dealership over the past 12 months were hailed as a overwhelming success by General Manager of TrustFord Huddersfield, David Wilson.
He said: “Events hosted and supported by not just colleagues in the dealership but also from our friends around the Huddersfield area has been wonderful to see.
To raise a fantastic amount for such a worthy charity is a great achievement and the spirit of which will no doubt continue in 2015.”
