THEY were care workers in a home for elderly Huddersfield people.
But now the three have been accused of cruelty to residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Mark Michael Senior, Hope Olivia Young and Louise Dent all appeared in court in Huddersfield to face charges of neglect and ill-treatment.
The alleged offences happened last year at the Green View Care Home in Greenhead Road, Gledholt which has since closed down.
In all, the three former staff members were accused of 16 charges involving a total of 12 elderly residents – some of whom have since passed away.
The court heard evidence would suggest the abuse was “sustained and degrading”.
All three accused will next appear in court in September.
