A RECYCLING company is urging people to recycle unwanted electrical goods.
Milnsbridge-based Wiser Recycling specialises in recycling all types of electrical goods and repairing items for reuse wherever possible.
In the UK each year, we throw away over one million tonnes of electrical and electronic equipment such as TVs, computers, mobile phones, power tools and kettles every year.
The recycling company has launched an advert to air on Sky channels over Christmas to encourage people to recycle their old electrical goods.
Managing director Russell Hirst said: “At Wiser, we are passionate about reducing the carbon footprint associated with electrical and electronic equipment.
“We hope that people will watch the advert and think about how they dispose of unwanted items over Christmas.”
Huddersfield people can arrange for the company to come and pick up their unwanted electrical goods.
The company collects all types of lamps, IT equipment and also batteries, mobile phones, CDs and DVDs, ink cartridges, small electrical appliances, fridges and freezers.
Call 01480 464111 to arrange a pick-up.
