A SUMMER fete has raised cash for Kirkwood Hospice. Croftlands Care Home in Kirkburton hosted a family fun day to raise money for renovation work at Kirkwood Hospice, raising more than £600 in the process.It was attended by local MP Simon Reevell, who also met with residents and workers. Shahida Parveen and Joel Powell, the activities and event co-ordinators at Croftlands organised the fete. Shahida said, “It was a great pleasure to meet and introduce Mr Reevell to our residents and their families who all helped and supported me and with the running of the event – especially Joel.Mr Reevell, said: “I very much enjoyed taking part in this family fun day to raise money for Kirkwood Hospice which does such vital work.”
