Personally, I think the huge window filling adverts for a dentist in Britannia Buildings are far more intrusive then a grey box. They make one side of the square look like it is boarded up and disused. The cashpoint kiosk is almost unnoticeable compared to these.

DancingDog

I agree with DancingDog, there are much uglier things in the town centre - some of them put there by the council.

One thing that does puzzle me is why you think this thing is "TARDIS style". It's clearly intended to have the shape of the old K6 phone box, not at all like any police box I've ever seen. Or are you suggesting that this thing is bigger on the inside?

Kirklees Council workers leave 2ft gap after fitting new door on Meltham house.... and then take 10 days to repair it

The problem is workmen like this don’t turn up to do THE job, they turn up to do A job. It has to be completed to the exact specifications on the job sheet even if that means not completing the job. Common sense goes out of the window and the workers know they are the ones who will get into trouble if they deviate from the job sheet by even using one extra screw.

NaughtyNick

A word of advice to the gentleman who lives there: please do not attempt a repair yourself. KNH,would probably insist on you smashing up your home in order to restore it to its original condition.

Common sense does indeed go out of the window. Or, perhaps, the space where the window ought to be.
