THERE are many questions to be asked over just why there are more delays over the £74m Waterfront Quarter campus for Kirklees College.
It seems likely that most of the college’s thousands of students will not now move into the state-of-the art building until next September – a year behind the original plan.
No precise reasons have been given for the delays though a complex ventilation system is thought to be causing some issues.
It will be a huge disappointment and frustration for college, staff and students that their move into this much awaited building has been further delayed.
But it is also to be hoped that there are sufficiently robust measures in place to ensure that the delays do not continue and that there are no long-term implications for the college.
