KIRKWOOD Hospice has thanked people who jumped out of a plane for them.

A team of skydivers, some pictured above, took part in a skydive in aid of the hospice.

And during 2011 they raised a massive £25,000 for the hospice, which will go towards patient care.

Suzanne Barton, from the Kirkwood Hospice, said: “We would like to say we are really grateful to them.”

Among those taking the leap of faith were Phillip John and Dave Neaverson (right), who both work at the DIY depot on the Leeds Road Retail Park.

And, Yorkshire Bank cashier Sarah Whitworth, of Holmfirth, also did a skydive for the hospice.
