ALMONDBURY Ladies Choir are raising money this Christmas for another worthy cause.

The acclaimed choir has over the years raised money for many deserving charities and this year they have chosen to support the White Knights blood bikes.

The White Knights volunteers provide an emergency out-of-hours transport service, free of charge to the NHS Trusts in West and North Yorkshire.

The choir is fundraising by staging a Christmas concert at Hall Bower Chapel, Hall Bower, on Sunday, December 16, at 7pm – and joining them will be instrumental group Eleven in a Bar.

Tickets cost £5 and include festive refreshments.

They can be bought at the door or by contacting Cath Burrow on 01484 321593.

The choir members have a busy schedule in December which includes carol singing at Morrisons supermarket at Waterloo on Monday, December 10, at 6.30pm and at Sainsbury’s Shorehead store on Monday, December 17, also at 6.30pm.

All proceeds will be donated to the White Knights.

The Choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at Hall Bower Chapel and any ladies who may be interested in joining can get more information from Cath by emailing her at: almondburyladies.choir@ntlworld.com
